Busy!

We have all been super busy lately. Between end of school year craziness, plus personal events (lots of weddings, parties, birthdays, anniversaries) things have just been hectic.

We are hoping to stock before the 15th of June, we will have some collabs with some of our favorite WAHM’s as well as ((crossfingers)) a new pattern to either test or sell.

It’s been a while since I posted an update here. I have been doing customs list updates mostly via email, facebook and the cart lately.

Currently I have a super cute summer top on my needles for Addyson. <3 Too bad I still need to knit her another dozen pieces before it gets much hotter. I have been sneaking them in as customs allow.

I am going to start Melissa P.’s Lollyscraps today, hopefully getting them off my needles in time for my new needles to show up from the co-op so I can do Erin’s Kenna Top. If not, then I will start working on getting store stuff done. We are shooting for stocking beginning of June but the exact date and time is TBA.

Erin’s skirty is done, drying.
Kim’s gaia shorts are on the needles, should go quickly, then straight on to her capris.

I am slowly getting closer to the end of my list. Hopefully by the end of the month I will have a little time to get some pieces done for my daughter since its getting hot here and she doesnt have any shorts. lol.

Melissa: Ashley’s items are all done and shipping out tomorrow.
Mandylee’s items are also all done and drying, probably shipping by Wednesday or Thursday (currently raining, making drying times longer).
Going to try and finish Erin’s skirt before Megan’s yarn gets here the beginning of next week. Emailing Kim to start work in the next couple days as well.

Ashley’s last pair of newborns are almost done just about an inch more on the first leg and then the 2nd leg.
Erin’s skirty is still slowly being worked on and is on another set of needles.
I should be starting Mandylee’s newborn walking shorts Saturday.

Megan is shipping yarn around the middle of the month.
Kim and Sasha-still working out yarn details.
Amy-waiting on custom dyed yarn (collab with Nicole)
Emailing Cre8tiveCrys for an update

Potential trades are on hold right now until I get my customs list back under control. LOL. The last couple weeks have been far busier and crazier then I could have ever planned for. If I have missed anyone, please shoot me an email at mamabear@dakineknits.com

I will be updating the customs list on the cart later today.

I am a little behind from where I would like to be. I am 1/2 done with Ashley’s second pair of newborn longies. I still am slowly working on Erin’s skirty whenever I have a spare minute. As soon as I get this finished I will email/PM the April customs.

As a side note: my husband has been working INSANE hours and I have literally seen him about 10 hours total in the last 10 days. We also have has a friend die and 2 get married and 2 birthday parties so my weekends have been just as crazy. I am truly working as much and as fast as I can, but my kids and personal life will always come first.

I am officially closed to customs for a couple months in order to catch up with what current projects I have going on as well as my home items. I would love to be doing more instock work so I will probably open up as slots on the cart only through the summer.

Jennifer’s shorts shipped the other day
I got the first of Ashley’s 3 pairs done today.
Currently working on Erin’s skirt and Danielle’s longies.

Crazy weekends ahead but I hired a mommy’s helper for a couple hours during the week so I can try and catch up. My husband is working insane hours and so I don’t have my knitting time in the evenings like I was accustomed too. This weekend we have a wedding, and Kat’s third birthday bash. Next weekend my husband will be gone all week and weekend working on moving his company (he works IT) not only that but we have a memorial service for a dear friend, another wedding both on Saturday and then another birthday party to go to on Sunday. CRAZY!!!

Downtime

Site downtime last night was caused by a back-end database crash. I had backups of the databases, but not proper ones it seems. Most of you prolly hadn’t noticed, as it was over night, but those of you who have, that was the issue.

We are back up and running smoothly now though. Enjoy.
