Scrappies Update

They are coming along, much longer then I ever anticipated so I apologize to everyone that is waiting :( I have about 4 more inches to do and am praying that I can finish them tonight. The kids are off to bed momentarily so I should be able to make some real decent headway. I won’t be washing these before they go out, so as soon as they are done they are in the mail.

11pm update: I got the inseam done! I just need to do the cuff and weave in all the ends and get some pics tomorrow. :D

On a personal note: things are really crazy right now in our lives. We got a notice yesterday stating our rent will be going up by 22%. We sure didn’t get a raise of 22% let alone one at all so I am not quite sure what we are going to do. The extra money is just not there so if you could keep us in your prayers that we listen and find the path that God has for us, that would be so appreciated.

Just a super quick update since its going to be the 27th here in another 20 minutes and i need to get some sleep.

I am just about done with the rise for the scrappie longies. They are taking a bit longer since these are the largest hip measurements I have done and all the switching of colors. I think they are looking really cool. I have just about 4 rows before I split for the legs. I am hoping the inseam will only take 2-3 days but it could be longer. My uncle is in town so I know we will go hang out with him on Saturday so hopefully ((crossfingers)) these will be done and ready to ship out on Monday.

Celcia’s are next and I will be contacting you to get current measurements and work out the details sometime this weekend. :D

We are so excited. :D

I am completely exhausted and heading off to bed, but just in case anyone was wondering the outcome. She is measuring spot on and they kept my due date of August 25th.

So my daughter’s birthday party was very successful. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed hanging out together. Then we had a youth kickball game at a local park after church Sunday and it was freezing and windy-not common for the bay area. Today we spent cleaning up the chaos that ensued from a crazy weekend. lol

Tomorrow we have our normal bible study day and then Wednesday is our big ultrasound and hopefully this baby will cooperate so that we can find out what we are baking in there. It will help tremendously in my OCD planning to know what I have to get rid of and what I still need to get. It will also be helpful in my knitting and yarn shopping to know what to do for the new little one.
But other then those appointments, things should be pretty mellow and I should be able to catch up on my knitting-of course-providing my kids will cooperate a little better then they did today. ;)

knititng wise: I am still working on the shorts for Jessica. I have the rise complete and the legs split. so I just have to finish up the inseam and do the cuff, which hopefully should just take a couple hours tomorrow.

I am almost done with the sunshine shorts. I got to 3 inches of inseam but I need to turn in. Carla, did you want me to just ship them again, or want me to wash and block them? If you just want me to ship them, I should be able to do that tomorrow as well.

I am heading to the post office tomorrow to mail out JenR’s items :) I need to get on my desktop and finish uploading all the pics to the gallery.

I also changed how I decided to allot slots. I decided I can handle 5 items a month reasonably and still be able to relax and enjoy myself as well as knit for my babies. :) So if you check the customs list you will see whats available and where you are on the list.

Good Day

I got tons of stuff done that I have been procrastinating about as well as it was a great day for knitting progress. I actually have all the rise completed on the sunshine shorts and was planning on splitting the legs tonight, but I think I am going to go to bed instead, I have a pretty nasty headache. But I am pretty sure these will be done tomorrow. I think I will be stuck at home most of the day waiting for packages, so I things should go pretty quick.

Sunday Night Update

Busy busy weekend with family. Spent Sat afternoon with my inlaws and getting party prep done for Katarina’s 2nd birthday this coming up weekend. Sunday at church and then spent the afternoon with my parents and a new baby goat. After all the trauma last week, they went to a breeder Sat and got a 1 week old baby goat that had a shoulder dislocate at birth and so it wont ever be show quality, so the breeder gave them a great price and its really helped my sisters do much better. Her name is Red Dawn and she is so teeny tiny. For comparison, my daughter is in about 18-24 month clothes and Red only comes up to her waist.

Knitting wise the peace fleece longies are done and soaking now. I have cast on Carla’s sunshine shorts and will work on getting these done asap. I did get all my yarn sorted and my knitting bag cleaned out this weekend, which is always helpful to have things nice and organized. However, my kids destroyed the rest of the house while I did that. lol Baby Red 1 week old 002.JPG
