Things are a little crazy around here the last couple days. I have lots to do and a big ole belly getting in my way and making me tired. lol. Things should calm down tomorrow. 
I am knitting up some preemie longies for a sweet mama that is expecting quads. We are due the same week, but she will obviously be delivering much sooner then me. I have never knit anything this small before, but they are turning out so cute. Plus, the knit up super fast because the rise and hips are teeny tiny. I can’t wait to have the whole stack of them done and get some cute pics of them. I started a pair these evening and already am at 1.5 inches of inseam on both legs.
I think I will knit a pair for Addy after I finish the ones on my needles… but to decide which yarn to knit up will be the hard part. lol
Got some new pics uploaded into the Gallery. I have been working on getting them up for a while. I don’t know whats going on with the pic upload system I have. The one’s of Erica’s longies were taken by a professional photographer which is always nice to have a little help. She happens to be my best friend and is extremely bored on bed rest, so it was a win win situation. lol
Cecilia’s shorts are done! I got them all finished last night and they are being washed now. I will block them and get some pics as soon as possible.
Cecilia’s shorts are almost done. I have about 2 inches of inseam left to do up tomorrow, and then the detail work will probably take another hour or 2 (weaving in the ends, making the cord, etc). If you want to start thinking of a day next week that would work for you to meet up that would be great. My Wednesday is the only really busy day.
So far this weekend, my kids and hubby got up this morning and went to the beach to go berry picking, leaving me home to have some quiet time. I ended up running over to super cuts and getting my hair cut and I love it. We have the mushroom mardi grae happening just down the street, so it was way crazy traffic, parking etc. We ended up just heading over to my moms where we spent the day taking care of their dairy goats and hanging out. Its always nice to get away from everything but still be within 10 minutes of home. lol.
Tomorrow we have church in the morning and then my men folk are going up to a Women’s World Cup game at Santa Clara State. We have a family friend on the team and so its always nice to get to see her play when she is in the area. Me and Kat will be staying home since it would be way to long of a day for me and my preggo self. I can already tell I am hitting the third trimester since things are wearing me out much faster then they were just a couple weeks ago. Its a good thing for my knitting schedule though, I have less motivation to do anything but sit, so I am getting a lot done quickly.
I will try and update again tomorrow or monday with some new gallery pics that I still need to take and upload.
Well I made up for yesterday, today. Yesterday I went to the dentist for a cleaning and it was much mroe extensive then I had planned on. I was pretty much out of commission all day with lots of pain.
Today I got the stripes ends all woven in. They are drying/blocking now and since its now almost summer, it shouldn’t take too long to dry. I am hoping to get a shipping quote tomorrow evening, to ship out Saturday.
I also started Cecilia’s scrappies. I am loving how they are going so far. I have the waistband and just started the 3 colorway and about to start adding in the short rows. I am hoping to have a mellow weekend, but odds are never in my favor for that. I am crossing my fingers that these will be done sometime monday or tuesday.
Here are both of them together. All done. I still have about 2 hours of weaving in ends on the stripe pair. You can see the stripes are just slightly bigger because I wanted the stripes to be uniform and so that meant going a little longer in the rise and inseam. I did cast them on 4 stiches bigger so there would be plenty of room for the weaving in of ends (ie less stretchy). BTW, colors are not accurate because I just used flash in my dining room.
Once I get all the ends woven in they will get washed and blocked.
And she is doing great. I think it was causing her a lot of pain over the last couple weeks because now that its out she is back to her happy bubbly self. So much that she is still up running around an hour past her bedtime.
I have made some more progress on the stripe longies 
Slow but steady. Leg one is completely done and leg 2 is about half way there. I am hoping to finish these up tomorrow and get both pairs washed and blocked and in the mail by the end of the week.
yep, my weekend has been crazy so far. lol.
Today my boys went paintballing this morning and me and Kat went to the farmers market, then I taught a 4H knitting class. Then we spent the entire afternoon redoing my bedroom and cleaning out everything in the closets. We stopped around 8 when we realized we hadn’t had dinner yet and the kids need to go to bed. I am super tired, but we are making some headway in getting ready for the baby so its good.
I am going to try and get some more knitting on Erica’s stripe longies done. I have made minimal progress since Thursday, but I am still ahead of schedule.
11pm update: I have both legs at at least 1 inch, but then i went and worked on the first leg for a bit instead of both at the same time and have that leg at 4 inches. I forget how much longer stripes take. lol
I was right, I got a lot of knitting done today. I also have stayed up way too late waiting for my hubby to get off work (he is just starting his 2 hr commute home and its after 11pm 
) I have the entire waistband, rise and already split the legs on the stripe pair. I really like how they are turning out. They will be a little size difference between the 2 pairs since in order to do the stripes i had to do things a little differently in the rise and short rows. Hopefully tomorrow I can make a ton more headway since my weekends are always super crazy and then Kat goes in for her oral surgery on Monday morning.
The first pair for Erin are done. I still need to wash, block and take pics, but all the knitting is done. I should be able to knit quite a bit tomorrow on the second pair while my kiddos play at our friends house.
