Just a quick update, Nicole was off line for about a day and is still getting caught up. I had a horrible flu bug (not the stomach variety) and it really knocked me out. I am doing much better, everything for the store is done, still working on getting all the pics up. I am currently working on Mommyof8′s shorties and should hopefully get them done by tomorrow. I have lots of yarn winding to do in order to get the rest of my projects done.

Oh, and please fan us on facebook! We are up to 40 fans now!!! It really helps to spread the word about our store even if it isn’t something that you are in the market for.

Sorry guys I’m still getting used to posting updates to the blog. Sarah, I’m finished with the top of your Kenna sweater. Now it’s just on to the body portion. Which is looooong, so it may take me a couple of days. Also all done knitting up the big stuff for the store, and now I’m just stalking my mail lady for the buttons to complete a few of the projects. You guys are going to love it, I think. It’s all turning out so lovely. Can’t wait for the GRand Opening on March 3′rd!!!

Melissa: I just shipped off Megan’s shorts and am up to my eyeballs in knits for the store, as soon as I get these last couple things done, I will be right back to my customs list, starting with my YFW swap partners.

Jessica’s shorties are all done, and are still blocking. I am planning on taking some pictures later today, so check back.
Megan’s shorties are started, just barely. My husband is still not home from work, pretty much been gone since Thursday morning, so things are a little crazy here, but I am determined to get my rear in gear this weekend and knock out a couple projects.
Nothing is shipping out today, and unfortunately Monday is a postal holiday so Tuesday I hope to be shipping both J’s and M’s shorts. ((crossfingers))

My brand new puppy was attacked today by another dog and had surgery. she is doing fine now but has to wear a cone for the next three weeks, which is really hard since she wasn’t even used to us, or her collar yet. I am going to stay up for a while and see if i can get Jessica’s shorties worked on for a bit.

I have had next to no time to knit the last couple days, which is totally odd. Just very busy, out of town, crazy kids… lol. I do have the waistband done and will start adding in the short rows tomorrow. If i can find time to knit for just an hour or 2 without interruptions I probably will be almost done.

I’ve been working all weekend, on getting a new pattern that I’ve designed down on paper.  I normally love knitting so much because I can be creative, and love to see what the yarn will turn into.  Pattern writing however is not quite the same, LOL. You know when your mom told you that someday you would use all of that math that you learned in school….. she was right.  I bet she didn’t know that it would be like this though.  There is a surprising amount of math involved in writing a knitting pattern!  And also a great amount of thinking and concentrating.  Neither of those things work out well for me when my children are awake.  My brain seems to instantly turn to jello sloshing around in my head, when they are awake and talking to me.  It’s almost as if I’m incapable of intelligent thought.  Sooo I’ve been staying up late, knitting the tester tops, and writing the pattern, after all of my little people are fast asleep in their beds.  Hopefully it turns out properly.  Thank you so much to all of the knitters who have committed to helping me test this one out! I definitely could not do it without you guys.

I just cast off the last cuff. I still need to do a cord and weave in all the ends tomorrow. I will snap a pic in the morning before I block them, but they should be ready to go out before I leave Saturday for the overnight.
I am going to hopefully finish up a pair of capris for the stocking at A La Mode on Thursday and then I will be working on Jessica’s shorties over the weekend.

So I am almost done with the rise on MandyLee’s newborn pair of scrappies. I am hoping to wrap these up in the next day or so.
Things are crazy here, over the weekend we did lots of yard work since the sun was shinning and I was busy trying to unpack the rest of the boxes and get really settled in. I had to move the yarn stash into my bedroom from the family room where the back door and the puppy are. I think house wide, we are down to just a couple more boxes in the garage and only like 2 in the house still. We go Saturday up to Clear Lake County (about 3 hours north of us, 1 hour north of San Fran) to pick up our new puppy! The kids are so excited and we just can’t wait to meet her. I will probably be working this weekend on something while driving (hubby driving, not me lol) but wont have email until Sunday night when we get home.
